At the unofficial National Prep Track and Field championship these records were set or almost broken by some very talented High School Athletes. Here's the link from Studentsports.com:

It is amazing to see H.S. shot put throwers throwing nearly 70'!!

One can only dream to coach such fine athletes. Congratulations to all!

Also at the Adidas Outdoor Championships in Raleigh, MBA standout, Will Denbo finished 6th in the shot put with a huge throw of 64'1/4". To find more info on this meet, go to <http://www.dyestat.com/>

 

Another great performance to note, 2-time state decathlon champion and former FRA standout, Rob Bates, is currently in 2nd after day 1 of the decathlon at the USA Junior National Championships with a score of 3,675 points. The top 2 finishers in this event qualify (if they meet the qualifying standard) for the World Junior Championships in Jamaica. The complete results are at <http://www.usatf.org>

Hey, I saw where Bates held on for 2nd with 6690 someodd points...is that point total going to be good enough to get him through to Worlds? I'm happy for him regardless.

      One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.

      It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.

      Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
