DB is also going to be in the Palmetto Cup in South Carolina. Farragut is attending as well. Farragut finished 2nd in 2006 and lost to Christian Brothers in the Semis last year and finished 3rd, while Christian Brothers finished 2nd. The tournament usually has the best teams from South Carolina in it. There are 3 teams that won a state championship last year, including Farragut, 2 other teams that made it to the finals, and 2 other teams that made it to the semis. 12 teams finished ranked in their respective classifications top 10.

 

DB will play Dutch Fork (SC), who finished last year 15-6-1 and was ranked #6 in 4A, Bishop England (SC), who finished last year 22-5 and ranked #1 as the state champions in 2A, and Brookland-Cayce (SC), the hosts of the tournament and finished last year 13-11-2.

It will be interesting to see how they compete against the South Carolina teams.

 

The tournament starts March 25 and goes to March 29.
