ok then would u like to tell me who will win them

and we will see wut happens tomorrow night

I think MVP is up for grabs

GK wise... i just dont see how josh martin woould get it. I think he has 3 shutouts all year. Im not saying hes bad but he has let in many goals in the district. I believe it should go to Lavergne Mt Juliet or Hvilles keeper. All three have atleast 6 or 7 shutouts. just because martin makes 10 saves a game cdoesnt mean hes the best. It means hes Defense isnt too great. Dont get me wrong, hes a good keeper/guy but not #1.

Hville 4 Lavergne 1

Hville's GK is the best in the district.

Here is the break out:

Mount Juliet - opponent strength of schedule 89 wins 90 losses (-1) - 18 goals allowed, 7 shut outs

LaVergne - opsos 94 wins 101 losses (-7) , 16 ga, 8 so

Hendersonville - opsos 135 wins 64 losses (+71) , 24 ga, 6 so

Based on my calculations there is only one choice for best goalie in the region and that would be Hendersonville's Hayden Coffman. Both Mt. Juliet and LaVergne goalies opponents had more losses than wins and the ties were a wash between all three teams. Effectively Hendersonville's opponents had 72 and 78 more wins than either Mt. Juliet or LaVergne's team had to face. That is nearly 5 more wins per season per team that Hendersonville had to face.

The only team with a comparable strength of schedule is Gallatin and their goalie (who I think is pretty good) gave up twice as many goals.

Choice is clear!

please give me any logic behind mjs keeper winning it.

Thank You

i dont see y u ppl think MJ is a team sent down from heaven

they are terrible

they didnt deserve the #2 seed

they got lucky a few times and got some points

and it showed against smyrna

whom they shouldve lost to

their keeper on the other hand

has no chance what so ever

hes #4 maybe 3 in the district goalie wise

it will be between Coffman and Martin

ok considering hayden has made maybe 20 saves all yrjosh makes that many a game

cause Beech has no Defense. Thats why they are terrible. when you have 3 shutouts all year with a weak schedule like Beech does you dont deserve it. Hayden is playing in college. Lavergne's keeper has 4-5 shutouts in a row. Hayden has 4 GA in District Lavergne has 8. Martin on the other hand has 10. I'm just saying whichever keeper wins tonight should receive that honor but anyways congrats to Josh.

i understand wut your saying and they arent terrible

they lost 15 senoirs last year. they are redeveloping

i promise u by the 2011 season beech will be contending for state titles

they have players from kaos 94 coming up, who recentally won state

plus 10 of the freshman they have, 4 of which start varsity, have been together as a team for 4 yrs

not to mention they were ranked 3rd in the nation in 7th grade while thier 6th grade team(freshman next year) were 1st in the nation for 3 yrs

but actually beech had a really tough schedule this year

im excited about the future

Half of the scheduled teams have losing records. and 2011 is far away and beech will not be a state contender period.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
