  1. I love Mid TN Fire but I understand JPII was missing two starting defenders. Let me know if that information is wrong. I know the Fire is good up top so you better be good on defense.
  2. Hendersonville 4 Mt. Juliet 0
  3. I was not at the game but heard from one of the parents Hendersonville 1-0 over MBA.
  4. your talking about Billy mcCaw from jersey and Harrison i agree with what you said about billy he was on my sons team and he is a very aware player
  5. watch out for Bryce Childers from Hendersonville he plays for 93 Brentwood Elite. who was either runner-up or state champs for d1 this year and he started as a freshman last year
  6. Hvillefootball is proud of his team as he should be. Don't be hatin his pride. I don't know who your team is but H'ville made it to the state quarter finals and should have gone at least one step further. As a side note H'ville is only losing 7 seniors (not all starters but all important) and should have several starters that missed the entire season coming back for next year. I believe they have the tools to return to state and possibly win it all. They certainly have the character and the coaching staff to make a run. Good luck to you and your team.
  7. That is a big loss. Have you got another good keeper to step in for Jay.
  8. It is down to Brentwood's stellar defense and Houston's high flying scoring attack.
  9. Coach Plummer is still in the hospital and not very comfortable. They are trying to make sure his internal organs are working properly before they release him. Prayers still needed. You can go to www.hendersonvillesoccer.com to leave him well wishes.
  10. Oak Ridge won on a beautiful free kick from distance. Hendersonville did not look prepared in the box as the kick appeared to be from behind the mid line. Two Oak Ridge players had a play on the ball. That being said this is one H'ville let get away as they had at least a half dozen shots within inches and one questionable goal taken back. Additionally the Oak Ridge goalie made a fingertip deflection on a ball to send it wide that was going in. Congratulations Oak Ridge. I'm sure Hendersonville will look to see you this time next year.
  11. White House-Heritage really has come out of nowhere. How did they put this winning program together so quickly?
  12. Cleveland - 157-114-40 - 76 gs and 16 ga w/13 shutouts Losses to Knox Catholic, CBHS, Ooltewah (loss defended), McMinn Co. (loss defended), and Dalton, GA Ties with McCallie still playing in the DII tourney, and Bearden nuff said. Brentwood - 124-92-27 - 62 gs and 5 ga w/18 shutouts no losses and no ties but only 5 games against top 10 competition (not counting going undefeated in the Southern Soccer Challenge). To me Cleveland has their hands full. I don't see the scoring power to overcome the Brentwood D. However if they can keep Brentwood from scoring they have a chance. Brentwood has not shown that they are terribly strong up top even though I hear alot about their offense. They have great possession capability.
  13. I like SCHS' chances against USJ because I think they have had a little tougher competition. Their only loss was to a pretty good AAA Cookeville team. The downside is that SCHS will have to really show up on defense because USJ likes to put the ball in the net a lot. Big G needs to think likewise for CAK as White House-Heritage likes to put the ball in the net a bunch of times too. Only loses with JPII and a close game with Goodpasture. 93 goals scored so far this year. Harder schedule by far goes to CAK. Knox Catholic looks too strong for anybody but........that is why they play the game. New England Patriots ring any bells....
  14. Coach Plummer had exploratory surgery to check for internal injuries and they expect he will be fine but not feeling good for awhile. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. Had not heard he had broken ribs or a punctured lung. That might have been likely based on the circumstances but I have heard no confirmation of anything like that.
  15. Hat's off to LaVergne who really came to play spoiler. Good luck as you take on Brentwood. H'ville has to play great soccer to beat a very good Independence team. One step to state.....Go Commandos!!!!!
  16. Dickson did win but I did not hear the score.
  17. 9AAA Strength of schedule: Hendersonville - 148-71-37 : 24 goals allowed (2 in district tournament play) - 7 shutouts Gallatin - 148-78-39 : 43 goals allowed (5 in district tournament play) - 1 shutout Smyrna - 105-60-41 : 37 goals allowed (2 in district tournament play) - 1 shutout Wilson Central - 99-95-38 : 19 goals allowed (3 in district play) - 5 shutouts LaVergne - 95-101-34 : 18 goals allowed (2 in district tournament play) - 8 shutouts Beech - 92-85-28 : 22 goals allowed (3 in district tournament play) - 3 shutouts Mt. Juliet - 92-92-37 : 16 goals allowed (2 in district tournament play) - 7 shutouts Congrats to Josh and the other District 9AAA award winners.
  18. No argument here. Bearden was definitely better under the conditions given and that is always part of it. I know Maryville has their hands full but if they lose tomorrow and win their first round of the region won't they get another shot at Faragut?
  19. I find it interesting that no one is really talking about Maryville. They lost to Bearden in the regular season but won when it counted and knocked a really good Bearden team out of district play. Maryville had the same overall record and a better district record than Bearden. About that H'ville loss to Bearden that was a total anomaly. H'ville lost 3 starters in the first half of the first half (both strikers and an anchor on defense and set pieces). Bearden was just better on a very sloppy field. The field was killing guys even Bearden lost one of their young stars to an ACL or MCL tear near the end of the game.
  20. Here is the break out: Mount Juliet - opponent strength of schedule 89 wins 90 losses (-1) - 18 goals allowed, 7 shut outs LaVergne - opsos 94 wins 101 losses (-7) , 16 ga, 8 so Hendersonville - opsos 135 wins 64 losses (+71) , 24 ga, 6 so Based on my calculations there is only one choice for best goalie in the region and that would be Hendersonville's Hayden Coffman. Both Mt. Juliet and LaVergne goalies opponents had more losses than wins and the ties were a wash between all three teams. Effectively Hendersonville's opponents had 72 and 78 more wins than either Mt. Juliet or LaVergne's team had to face. That is nearly 5 more wins per season per team that Hendersonville had to face. The only team with a comparable strength of schedule is Gallatin and their goalie (who I think is pretty good) gave up twice as many goals. Choice is clear!
  21. Very impressive JPII. I knew you were good but you are officially number one until someone else proves otherwise. Way to go Tinkerbell!
  22. Forgive my son's zest for his friend Holland. What I like best about the home fire team is the character of the kids that make up the team.
  23. One of these sophomores is Holland Clement He is sick and has one of the best shots and touches i have ever seen!
  24. I know at least 2 of their sophmores play for TN United 92 and are both very talented. I believe there are a couple of players from TN United 91 on the team as well.
  25. I agree that H'ville, Brentwood, and Father Ryan are still probably the cream of the crop for Middle Tennessee. This tournament should tell us a lot about how Middle stacks up to the West part of the state.
