I'll take a stab at a top 10 for rural West Tenn:

1. TCA

2. Covington

3. Ripley

4. Westview

5. Camden

6. McNairy Central

7. Dyer Co.

8. Huntingdon

9. Lexington

10. Gibson Co.

If you throw in Shelby Co. area: Munford, Collierville, Houston, Bolton could be thrown in there as well.

Pretty good STAB at this one /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> .spojo20

1.TCA (The Renfro's & Great supporting cast.. enough said.....Just a matter of who they play in the single A championship)

2.Convington(Tobey is all state stud.....Will go deep in the state tourney)

3.Ripley(Great pitching duo!!! Should be against the law to have two pitchere this good.. very dangerous team)

4.Westview(Great pitching Soph. and Fresman Will be tough for the next few years and super solid D'....If they hit you better watch out) Ripley or Covinton tough regional match ups!!!

5. Camden(Beat the 'View yesterday great hitting team..1-9) you could flip flop with the view at 4 spot

6.McNairy Central (Great team.. Pitcher is awesome...Killer rise ball... Beat the 'View 1-0 earlier in the year)

7.Haywood (I will add Haywood in about here they could be a dangerous team tourney time. Remember last year!!!!

8.Dyer Co. (solid team it will be tough to get past Ripley or Covington if the are winners or runner up out district 13aa

9.Huntingdon(Brooke T is awesome....Don't know if she has enough run support to go deep in single A state)

10.Lexington (Don't know much about this team!!! Heard they where pretty good...Anyone knows anything?

11.Gibson (Scrappy team having a great season. Coach Henson has done a great job this year!!! Will have to battle just to make it to the tough 13aa Championship game)

12.Obion(Tough group of kids...Could make some noise tourney time at their place)

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
