They actually won 10 games in a row, but did not make it to the Championship. They were put out by the St. Louis Chaos who finished 2nd.

Private school education.... anyway the run they had was awesome. Did you get a chance to see the Lady Magic? They smoked us. What a team.

Lady Magic was solid all the way around. They beat the Firecrackers easily. No big innings, just beat them at every position. The best game I saw on Sunday was the OC Batbusters and the Chaos. I believe it went 10 innings!!! Chaos had bases loaded twice and did not score!!! OC also did not pitch the ace.....warmed her up every inning but never put her in. I guess they are saving her for next season.

The pitcher for Lady Magic is a SENIOR and she was a first team EA All American that pitched 18U Gold last year, then dropped down to play 16U this year. Her name is Jolene Henderson. Thanks for who ever clearedup that they won fourth. I was have trouble seeing the entire bracket and it appeared they ended up second.

We were told by the Lady Magic coach that their ace was going into the 10th grade and had already committed to UCLA.

Their "other " ace is Jolene Henderson , who is going to Cal, and is a senior.

The younger pitcher must be Kiewhirt. Here is information on their main ace who is an EA All American:

Pitcher - Jolene Henderson (Sheldon, Sacramento, Calif.) Jr.

The state junior player of the year in California led Sheldon to a second straight CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I title and No. 4 spot in the final Unapproved Website FAB 50 national rankings. Henderson, a two-time player of the year by the Sacramento Bee and already committed to Cal, went 30-1 with a 0.41 ERA and struck out 326 batters. She also batted for a .400 average and had five homers with 31 RBI.

I could have sworn this was a "Tennessee" website. Why are we touting California players who obviously do not need any publicity......................

Anyway, the "freshman to be" that was pitching for the OC Batbusters was more impressive. Just my two cents...

LOL .......There is no publicity on this web site. Well..........I guess publicity to a dozen or so parents and a couple of high school coaches. Who was the impressive batbuster pitcher?

Don't know her name, but watched her pitch a 1-0 game against the Lady Magic (who averaged probably 7-8 runs a game). I heard she will be a FRESHMAN this year.

Her name is Brianna Mathews and she is a stud. The only pitcher around that tamed the Lady Magic's bats.

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
