I am trying to find 2 more teams to compete in the 2nd Annual Lady Jets Soccer Invitational on Aug. 16th at Cumberland County High School. Each team will be guar. 4 (30) min. games and the cost is $100. Also, each coach will receive medals for All-Tourn. players. So far we have Livingston Academy (Kat Nigro plays for this team and she an unbelievable player to watch!!), Anderson County, and Cumb. Co. The tourn. will start Sat morning at 8am Central and end around 4pm. If you are interested in bringing your girls, e-mail me at angiespitler@yahoo.com.

    • Glen Morton was the announcer for WGAP.
    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
