The Coffee County golf team was back on the road Monday afternoon facing Grundy County in Sewanee.

The match-up went very well for the Raiders by shooting the best team score of the year beating the Yellow Jackets 155-186.

Ryan Perry led the way for the Raiders with an even par 36, Kyle Chumbley birdied the last three holes to shoot 37, Tyler Freeman came in with a 38 and TJ Cooper with a 44. Other scores included Craig Jarrell with a 46, Heath Sain 48, Brett Harris 49, Austin Lowry 49, Reed Wolfe 51, Steven McBride 60, Dustin Banard 61 and Nick Nadeau 64.

Grundy County was led by Derrek Seagroves with a 43. Other scores, Garrett Campbell 46, Josh Nunley 47, Kevin Butner 50.

In girls play Laura Smartt and Loren Pickett were low scorers for Grundy County and Kolby Hopkins was low scorer for the Lady Raiders.
