Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that Lipscomb has only 1 3A State Championship, wouldn't call that ownership. Here they are for the last 5 years. Looks to me like Fulton is the team to claim ownership of 3A up to this point they can lay claim to 3 championships in 5 years.

2007 David Lipscomb

2006 Fulton

2005 Livingston

2004 Fulton

2003 Fulton

No one is to big they can't get knocked down. Time will tell-determination is a key factor in any game, and these boys are very determined. Doesn't seem like the loss of key players has affected the win factor for this team now has it. 3 - 0 on the road is pretty good. We have depth and the boys will step up when neccessary. When they play Lipscomb it will be a very hard fought game-these boys will not give up. To say any team is a state championship contender is an honor in itself-it just means they are a good team. Giles does not want to settle for that title this year they want the whole kit and kaboodle.

I guess you can't read. Lipscomb is UNDEFEATED in 3+ years in REGION 5-3A since joining the region. The vast majority of those games were over by halftime. Yes, the Mustangs only have one state championship trophy, but they have appeared in the Blue Cross Bowl and played for all the marbles 3 years in a row. They have owned 5-3A since joining and will continue to do so this year. If going undefeated in both the regular and postseason within the region and appearing in 3 straight state title games isn't dominance, then I don't know what is.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
