Collinwood won 35 to 13.....really sloppy and wet first half. Second half it dried out a little and actually looked something like a football game. I would like to see this series continue as I think it will develop into a good one........it could be billed the BATTLE FOR THE NATCHEZ TRACE seeing as how both teams are right off the trace. I think East Hickman will be very competitive in their region......they have a nice variety of plays, a good quarterback and some speed (especially Tidwell #88) Collinwood had way to many turnovers and really bad penalties. They definitely have plenty to work on this week....they did break off a lot of long (really long) runs and John Morgan really made a lot of plays. I think he banged up his knee though...sure hope it is ok cause he is a MAN

I stopped by East Hickman last night and caught most of the game... I agree with you about the Morgan kid (#3 ? ) he was all over the field... #1 for C'wood also looked good on defense, he had a nice interception erased by a penalty... East Hickman is not far off from being a team to reckon with, a few breaks here and there and this game would have been a lot closer... Can't wait to see Mt.Pleasant take on the C'wood.

It was a sloppy mess out there, but take away those 3 break away plays, it was back and forth, East got in Scoring position at least 4 times just to give it away on 4th down , a big play called back , penalties killed us also ( seemed like only 1 ref was throwing the flag all night ) . As far as East players, # 22 was our battering ram, had it not been for my boy Jacob. We would have a scoreless night. Collinwood beat us with the big plays ,Congradulations to Collinwood good luck the rest of the season.

Why do East Hickman people think they're good in EVERY sport??

Did they even get 10 wins combined in all sports last year?

? where are East people posting this ? ? We are just confident with ourselves. We may lose........but we never give up, and learn from our mistakes. You gonna see up close next year................ I think we will have Springhill in our schedule.

    • Looks like South Pittsburg added some more talent!
    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
