Well, Reitz, I see ya'll beat us badly. I was there but I wasn't there. My car was backed off in a ditch out in the parking lot! Honestly, something needs to be done about the parking out there and I wasn't the only one complaining as I did back off in an unmarked ditch that was pretty hard to see. I don't really know what happened but from what I was told by a person close to the program is that we couldn't stop the Offense of JCS all night. I heard where u said on 97.7 that Dray Bowles had like 70 something yards on 3 catches and 2 TD's! Congrats to JCS as it sounded as if they played a very solid game!

Sorry to hear about your car, Pioneer. I wish we had an answer for the parking. It's great to see the 8AA schools travel as well as they do. The visitor bleachers were full, and your band puts on a great show.

Your guys played hard last night, and your coaches are a classy group.

It's ok now, lol. It's out of the ditch. I did have several JCS people stop and ask if they could help but with the way it was sitting we really couldn't do much without a wrecker. It's out now and ok so I'm ok with it now, lol.

So far this year the fans have traveled well with our team. We've had 3 road games so far (Halls, TCA, JCS) and our side has been packed every time. It's a good thing to see for GC football. As for the band, their always really good. I believe their going to Martin today to compete in competition. Good Luck to them!

Well, I didn't get to watch last nights game because I was in the parking lot the whole time waiting. However, I did see JCS/Fayette Acad. in Week 1. JCS is impressive with their passing as well with Johnson running the ball. JCS will most likely beat TCA next week. TCA is limited in play-makers. Their 2 play-makers are Hagan Nelson and Jabriel Washington. I see JCS winning that game by around 21 points due to the fact that both teams are in the same town and it'll be a little rivalry. JCS is the better team in the 2 but anything is possible.

    • One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.
    • They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.
    • And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull
    • Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…
    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
