I think he is doing great and the boys seem to be responding well to his instruction! There are more kids in the program this year and I think if he is given time, he will turn the program around within a year! They already play with intensity and have a good system in place!

Last week, Celina defeated Upperman 23-21 in three quarter scrimmage. Tonight, the tables were turned with Baxter winning 20-19 in three quarters of play. The JV teams played to a scoreless tie in one quarter of play. Celina's Bend-don't-break Defense seemed to "bend" too much as the BEES moved the ball with ease across the Bulldog defense; however, Celina did a good job on offense and kept the game close.

 

Coach Wright's team improved greatly this week and will give everyone in their region a few surprises this season! They have strength up front in key areas and are fundamentally sound! Celina needs more work on defense but looks much better than last year!
