tnballin59
Thanks Ravenwood beat Ensworth 66-38 and Ensworth beats CHS 56-51, Is Ravenwood that good or is Centennial that bad? Also, what kind of team is ensworth? i'm a big fan of the district 11AAA so I go to many of the games. I was unable to go to the ensworth rhs game but i saw the stat sheet. Ravenwood seems unstoppable when they are hitting the three ball. They shot 11-19 against Ensworth. Against Page, on the other hand, I believe they only hit 2 threes. But they still pulled out the win in double overtime. Ensworth is a very good team. Gary Pope and Miles, along with Tavares Jefferson, are going to make noise. If you want to see the Tigers play, They have an Ensworth classic starting the 29th I believe. I am not sure who all is in it. I do know that CPA and Ravenwood are in it with Ensworth. aldenaward
This is my 10th year of watching the rebs play. It seems like every year there is a new challanger to our dominace of 11aaa. My picks are below 1. Franklin (We OWN 11AAA get use to it) 2. CHS (Drew Kelly 2nd best player in district but wont be enough we should only beat them 10) 3. Brentwood (Tidwell is back I have confirmed.. best athlete in district won't matter we own them) 4. Hillsboro (They did upset us last year ill give them credit for that they lost several seniors though) 5. Overton (has some talent could surprize some people) 6. Ravenwood (Two best players gone from last years team) 7. Indy (Good shooter in consig but a tuff year ahead) 8. Hillwood (goint to be another tuff year) I never understand how people come on here every year and pick against the REBS. We have everyone back except Kevin. Michael Young is the BEST PLAYER in district .... This group of seniors is special look for them in the Boro ..... 11AAA seems to be very tough but I wanted to know who some of the best sophomores are in 11AAA I am planning on going to several games this year and I wanted to know who has the best young talent. bricedrew
As far as sophomores go, I'd say watch Jake Little and Debrelle Mclemore from Franklin. However, Franklin is so senior heavy, and they have a couple of juniors who play, playing time for sophomores may be limited. Franklin seems to be very deep, especially once they get Glover and Starnes back. Right now they go with.... Franklin (2-0) Starters *Young G SR *Miller-Mclemore G SR Henry PG SR Haddix C SR Pace G JR SUBS Nelson F JR Little G Soph McLemore PG Soph Lindsey F SR OUT *Glover (ankle) G SR *Starnes (football) F SR Kibler (football) G JR *full time starter last season
packfan529
Indy pulled out a big 78-48 victory over Lawrence Co. Granted Lawrence Co. wasn't very good, Indy played well again. Carden dropped 16, King 14. People will really see what Independence is made of when district play starts.
basketballfan123
Franklin- 67 BGA- 43 Franklin did not shoot that well tonight, but still ended up handing BGA a beating. However, BGA is not the best team in williamson county. Parker for BGA had a pretty good night with 16 and scoring his 1000th career point at BGA, so congratulations to him. On Franklin's side Young led the way with 15, while Miller-McLemore ended up with another double-double; grabbing 10 rebounds and scoring 12 points (also with 5 or 6 assists). Franklin plays at Columbia Saturday night.
Jim Harrick
Franklin 67 BGA 43 (Franklin now 3-0) Franklin controlled the game and it was never in doubt. Not a complete game by any means, but a dominating win early in the season for the Rebels. The Rebels had three players in double figures. Michael Young had 15, while James Haddix and Daniel Miller-McLemore both had 10. Franklin plays saturday @ Columbia
bricedrew
Franklin has a number of guys who can score. I had Young with 15, Miller-McLemore with 12, and James Haddix with 10. Sophomores Jake Little and Debrelle McLemore both had 8 points a piece. A few careless turnovers for Franklin were my only concern. The Rebels defend very well, that is the difference from this year to last year. However, free-throws are a concern. Remember, Franklin is still missing former starters Jamal Starnes and Reed Glover. Franklin is now (3-0) and heads to Columbia on Saturday.
basketballfan123
Columbia- 59 Franklin- 57 Franklin had an off night, while Columbia had a good night. However, Columbia is a pretty good team the Rebels had 22 turnovers and shot around 50% from the free throw line. Young had 17, and Haddix had 20, but it wasn't enough to win. Key turnovers late in the game cost Franklin this one.

But something is telling me this Franklin team may end up being like the Indy team of 2 years ago...a BUST. I'm not sure I believe it but something is telling me to. packfan529
How did other teams teams from wilco do over the break? Independence beat Lawerence Co. on Monday by 30, lost to columbia on tuesday by 11, lost to lebanon on fri. by 17, and beat blackman on sat. by 11. Overall decent. Carden performed well again as did freshman standout David Howard
