CPA beats Hume Fogg

CPA sleepwalked through the 1st half and trailed by one, 30-29. Then they outscored Hume Fogg 44-20 in the second half, as Hunter Miller exploded shooting 3's and driving to the basket.

Z Mason got 2 early fouls and sat out a lot of the first half, but never really got untracked when he was in. HF is very athletic and Williamson is the real deal (springs in his legs). They exploited CPA's man-to-man in the 1st half with quickness, but could not handle CPA's zone in the 2nd half.

CPA was like two different teams, 1st half versus 2nd. Hopefully, the one they were the 2nd half is the one who shows up the rest of the year. HF has some really good players and should win a lot of games this year.

We will see tomorrow when they go up to Kentucky to face a really good Warren Central team. If they play the first half like they did tonight then they'll find themselves down by a lot more that 1 at the half. It was good to see however what CPA was able to do in the second half considering that Z never really showed up. Hunter Miller seemed to have found his shot this week, which will help CPA a lot from 3 and from the free throw line, where they have struggled so far this season. Hunter finished with 38 points tonight, and CPA's defense really stepped up in the 2nd half and showed what they can do against a talented and athletic HF team.
