I was stunned Friday night under the lights. Chapel Hill had some horses up front but their mighty steeds ran out of gas. They charged down the field and jumped out with a quick 7-0 lead. Soon after they had the mighty Raiders on their heels again until a fumble changed the game. The Raiders capitalized and went on to win 27-7. I'll be honest folks. Chapel Hill had the better team and better athletes. This was the year they were thought to break the streak and you could tell by how much fan support they brought. Many rocket fans went home with frowns as their best opportunity in years to gain victory slipped through their hands. Congrats to the Moore County Raiders for not giving up early and holding the fort down. Congrats to QB Kyle Smith on an excellent performance and also to Tyler Hatfield who scored on 3 receptions and 1 rushing touchdown. Tonight the Raiders dodged a bullet but will they be able to gallop into the sunset with a victory over the Wildcats of Wayne County?....stay tuned.
