What's in store for fans from Northeast Knoxville this year? What does Gibbs have returning after losing some talented seniors last year?

 

Gibbs should be competitive this year but still fairly young with only 8 upperclassmen on the team. Priorites will probably be finding capable replacements up the middle and enough offense to score some runs. Strengths should still be the pitching. The younger players will still need to develop into specific roles. Not much different than last year.

And that gives the AE ballers a chance to whoop up on the Eagles like they've been whooping up on AE... The sleeper of the district this year will be AE.. I'm telling you folks... watch out for the Baseball Runners...

 

Okay Turtle, you'll get your chance soon. March 16th is when the Eagles will visit Roadrunner country.

Gibbs has beaten up on a lot of people, but I have never once seen them rubbing it in. Their coaches and young people have always played with class when I have seen them. Best wishes to the Gibbs program and I hope that they and AE have a great year!

I know I was just messing... Gibbs always won with Class at AE.. The coach would hold the runners at 3rd base instead of letting them run home when they could've had an inside the park home run.. That's a class coach...

 

 

AE's baseball coach name is Coach Marie.. He's the assistant basketball coach at West supposedly.. He also had about 40 kids come out for early work outs and conditioning. I'm looking forward to this years baseball season.. AE has a coach this year that really knows what he's doing and what the kids are capable of doing.. NO MORE easy victories over AE...

      I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.

      I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.

      I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
