Sounds typical of the leadership and character that the new coach has displayed all year. I know as an official that I have had to get on to him several times for his profanity to his players, to other referees and to some fans. I still don't understand how a coach can get thrown out of a game that Hixson won by almost twenty and especially right before the district tournament. But this is the person that was hired that the principal was quoted as saying: Hixson High School Principal Christine Couch said. "Most importantly, however, Coach Disbrow is a proven leader and his commitment to the success of his athletes is extraordinary." What a commitment to his players. Get thrown out of a game, suspended two games and cause the school to have to pay $250.00 when there is no money to get out of a $20 million dollar deficit anyway. What a proven leader. Hixson is really getting sad. Parents should not treat kids this way at all, but it is always the kids who suffer no matter if they are shooting all of the time, passing all of the time or not even playing. They will always remember the impression that was left on their lives, either from the coach or the parents.

First of all, Coach Disbrow was not on the bench for that game. Second, why is the coach responsible for all that is going on in the stands? As an official myself, anything that goes on in the stands is not the officials responsiblity, it's administration of the school being played at. My main responsibility as an official is to ensure that the game runs fluidly and that the best team wins. I don't think it's very professional as an official to come on here and bash a Coach and Principal. Especially, when they sign your paycheck. When has Coach Disbrow ever used profanity to fans or referees...I think your whole post is a joke and it is why coaches and players look down to officials.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
