Now best friend....what are you a thinkin? I do believe that you will have one but please help me with number 2. I do agree that the regionals are a little down this year but two? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I guess you are so high on Rossview that you forget about the "other" teams in 9AAA. If Rossview is the best team on the road to the 'Boro. WC and/or H'ville can both beat them on any given day............ The way I see it, Rossview/Dickson Co./NE, Beech/WC/H'ville, Brentwood/Ravenwood on the road to the 'Boro. I like 9AAA's chances........better combination of pitching AND hitting. We will see.............

I don't know if your still doing the middle school thing or not, but we play Tullahoma Friday. Hollar at me if your there.

Who is this mysterious masked commentator???

 

Not a parent, he does not have that built in bias or pride that comes with being a current player parent. Not a coach, he does have a bit of righteous arrogance but not even a bad coach would ever comment on the things he throws out there like loser lists and the such. Not a tournament director, no self respecting tournament director would live in a trailer park. My guess would have to be.... A game official, yes you heard it right I'll bet he's an umpire!

 

 

On a second note, I do believe I called that Beech, Central game right on the button. Only one thing remains; can Central adjust and score a couple runs to put the district tournament on the must watch list in game 2.

Leevie Greenwood pitched well yesterday against Beech. She certainly did her job. I noticed WC really missed some bats from last year. Courtney Billington, Caitlyn Bailey and Kristin Clark left some voids at the plate for the Wildcats.

 

The pitchers for Beech and Wilson Central match up well. Beech has the advantage at the plate and that is where the game was won yesterday.

He has admitted to doing some umpiring in the past. He also claimed to be a middle school coach last year. Who knows. My guess is I've spoke with him before as an umpire. I typically have pretty good communication with umps. (the good ones anyway..) /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

"Coachhat" several things are hurtin my feelins! I have plenty of pride, I take out the trash every week! I show pride in the way my trailer looks, I have "Little Bubba" who "Birdie" says is my boy so I am a parent! I have been called a little bit arrogance by some folks but it is caused they did not get to the 6th grade like I did! I have put on several Rook tournaments before here in the park and I have been elected to be the director of our Trailer Park! Also I do not think you are a very nice person talkin about us trailer park folks, until you have walked in the shoes do not talk about others problems. I have called several games at the park in my time so you see I am a little bit of all of these.

 

The second note is that WC will not beat Beech this year on the second or third or fourth time. Just ask my rich friend "birdman" ! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I'm a noob on these boards but nonetheless observant. I should have been more clear on the current player parent bit... Parents, including myself, all have built in pride when talking about their kids which is why I will not hype mine in any way here. I'll save that for her player profile I send to colleges. Just a hunch you didn't have a kid currently in a HS softball program based on the flavor of your posts...

 

Beech is good and they'll be a factor this year but I have no bias toward either team, having no kids on either side and being somewhat new to the area. I still say game 2 Central gets the edge! I may just have to find my way to the bleechers at Central for that game, it'll be a good one.

You should not have to be sending profiles of your daughter that is part of the coaches job. I have heard of parents before sending out profiles and college coaches saying what good parents that the girls have because no good parents would say anything bad about their daughter. Let you travel coach, High school coach do this work for you because he will mean more than coming from a parent. I know that the smaller schools have applications for the players on line because they do not have the budget to get out to watch high school games because their season is goin on at the same time but for your major schools they will throw it away. I have heard the Weekly's speak about this before. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.

      I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
