Beech / Rossview

Bottom of the 7th - 1 out, runner on 3rd with 2 strikes on the batter. You lay down a bunt with the runner coming home all the way that results in a perfect squeeze play that ties the game and the lead runner becomes the winning run after a base hit.

This takes me back to a previous post where a lot of people discussed..."why bunt in unfavorable situations"....well here's your answer. Sometimes you catch breaks and sometimes you make your own.

Yea I would say it was an exciting game for sure - great / tough win for Beech coming from behind and great / tough loss for Rossview...great team and just a couple outs shy of advancing over the top projected team in the state.

Actually, I think it was a "swinging" bunt.............

Actually, it was a "swinging" bunt ... and a heartbreaker of a loss. Good teams need a little luck too, and luckily for Beech they had some last night.

Actually here is what happened Beech tied game with the bunt and steal, and the runner was safe at first. Leadoff hitter (slappy) came up and everyone plays very shallow, even outfielders are almost to the grass. Ole slappy bounces one off the right-center field fence and runner scores from 1st, with leadoff runner right on her tail. Great play and great game, If post season games are gonna be like this I wont miss another!!!
