  1. Actually, it was a "swinging" bunt ... and a heartbreaker of a loss. Good teams need a little luck too, and luckily for Beech they had some last night.
  2. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Megan Rhodes, former Lipscomb High School and current University of Tennessee pitcher, has been nominated for The Lowe's Senior Class Award! Not only is she an awesome pitcher, but a wonderful person and great student as well! Simply go to this website and cast your vote! http://softball.seniorclassaward.com/public/women/vote.aspx
  3. Cartwright (from Goodpasture)... one of the most athletic talents I've seen in quite a while, both on the basketball court and the softball field! Still has two years remaining after softball saeson and will only continue to get better! Best of luck in softball - always plays her heart out and to combine that with her amazing athletic ability she can certainly go far!
  4. Daddy always said, “ . . . umpires might hurt you on a call or two, but they will NEVER beat you . . .” “ . . . you’ve got to take control and play YOUR game to VICTORY. . .”
  5. Bottom of fourth GP 0 MC 1
  6. At the completion of three innings, neither team has scored. Following the completion of four innings, the game remains scoreless. After five innings, the game remains scoreless. After six complete innings, the score is: HFA 0 Gibbs 1 Final - HFA 0 Gibbs 1

    Coach Conditt

Coach Conditt, You're the B E S T ! We will always remember how you took our Hume Fogg team all the way to the State Tournament. You truly love the game and we love you for that reason! If only people knew how much time you give towards the game and your team. However, I know one team who will remember how much "softball homework" and prep time you put forth! (E.R. just outside of Knox.) Coach, 'keep the lights burning' and don't forget to turn your car off before going into the market. Otherwise, someone just might drive up, move it to the back of the market and you'll have to walk to the game. (now you should know who posted this) To the Antioch Softball team. Go play hard for your Coach. He gives you 110% and moreover, he loves each one of you girls. Take it from someone who knows! Wishing you a speedy recovery and much Godspeed to you Coach. thumb
  10. It is hard for me not to believe that these freshman pitchers would not be as highly recognized if it weren't for the upperclassmen playing great defense behind them. And even then joining already successful teams who have already built names for their respective programs.
  11. I heard it should have been called the TN Travelers Invitational because they wont have a game within 20 points all weekend. Good luck to the Travs and hometown hero Tyrone Caldwell.

    Best coaches

A coach who is very deserving of beng named on this list is coach John Conditt. Not only for the amount of knowledge and love he has for the game yet for the care he has for each player and the drive he instills to make them the best. It was truly an honor to play for him and I am very thankful to have had him a as a coach. He is truly the kind of coach I aspire to become one day!!
