I agree, if you have one bad game the first round of regions or sectionals your done and i think that needs to change

District -- Season winner gets a bye / double elimination tourney to determine 2nd participant

 

Region -- Double elimination tournament

 

State -- two 4 team brackets, double elimination

-- 2 pool winners play best 2 of 3

 

That is baseball. Season is rewarded, tournament is rewarded, best TEAM is rewarded.

the whole point in playing one game in sub-state/Region is so if you have a ace that can dominate you get the win. This does not always show who the best team is, but it does give the team with that one greather the advantage to a team that has 2 or 3 good pitchers.
