After watching camps this week here is what i see.....

 

 

Bearden- looks strong and should be the favorite in district.

Heritage- A close second, they seem to reload every year of late.

Farragut- Can easily beat either of the above teams.

William B- Small team, fiesty, on a good shooting night can beat any of the above teams.

L.City- Never did see them play.

Maryville- no show at Maryville College or Heritage camps.

 

Interesting district this year !!!!

Farragut beat Webb & Austin East by wide margins.

Farragut was tied with siegel in 2nd half.

 

Webb beat Oliver Springs by 2

 

Tellico Plains beat Anderson Co

Heard that Farragut lost to siegel by 1 in OT

 

and earlier today Heritage beat Pickett Co., Lost to siegel by 1, and beat Oliver Springs

 

Have not seen Maryville yet this summer

Based on viewing in 3 minute breaks (I'm a middle school parent)

 

Heritage looked good

Bearden was struggling against a weaker team

Maryville was a little sluggish

Farragut looked good

 

Heritage v Farragut should be good games this winter

Bearden and Maryville are slightly behind now......

Seymour girls beat Campbell County by 20+ and Bearden by 10+ today. I thought Maryville looked good and Heritage hit around 20 3's against Oliver Springs! Oliver Springs has a star in the making in PG Katie Harvey who now is on the floor with Christopher gone. She is VERY good!

Siegel was the best team at MC Camp from all the games I saw. They blew out some good teams but seemed to play down to competition's level in a few games when the game should not be close. Coach Bush has a good group here but they are in arguably the toughest district in TN with Riverdale, Blackman, Lavergne, Smyrna, and others. Still they should finish well. Point guard for Siegel is one of the best I have seen in TN in past couple years. She is lightning quick and a good floor leader.

Lenoir City looked young but had talent.
