Maury County Girl's Basketball

What is the deal with all the vacancies in Maury County for girl's coaches? Is it because of lack of interest or because no real chance to compete in the districts they are in? I have heard that Central, CA, Culleoka, Hampshire, and Santa Fe are open. Is that correct? Are there others?

 

I heard a rumor that CA and Hampshire may have hired new coaches, but nothing definate and no names.

 

Any opinions or news here would be great.

Thanks for the name...I heard it before today but hadnt verified it. What about Hampshire? I heard that they had a new coach on Friday, but that, as the CA name, was not releable to me. And, is Mt. Pleasant definately open? With the changes in districts and new coaches, it could be a strange season.

Just got word from my friend that Hampshire has, in fact, filled the coaching position for the girls team. Jason Fite is the name of the new coach at Hampshire, and I am not sure what he will be teaching. I think they said he is from Lewis County. Bingham at CA, Fite at Hampshire, and still positions open.

Just got an email that Tyler Brown, assistant coach at Columbia Academy got the Head coaching job at Santa Fe... he has no head coaching experience... must be a certification thing (biology)....

Congrats to Jason Fite! Another great coaching prospect that was tutored under the legendary Larry Helton of Lewis County. I am sure he will have those girls winning their share of ballgames soon enough.
