PHargis
Coach Ginger Leseman this next weekend will present the Portland Playday and we need the schedule for the event. Portland starts in AAA this year and this should be a good Playday. For those of you who are not familiar with Portland High School, it is in Sumner County in a fast growing area along with the rest of the fine Sumner County Schools. It once was the Strawberry Capital of Tennessee but not sure it has the same recognition but I bet a lot are grown there. Being made a AAA school brings some changes and responsibility to the school and this tournament has existed a number years except the schools have changed this year. Portland is not new to the Playday Scene and we look forward to either some parents and fans of Portland or some parents and fans of District 9 to keep this site abreast of the scores and events of this fine Event. Its also important to acknowledge John Paul II as entering this Playday and would expect that it is the opportunity for other DII schools such as Davidson or others to enter the scene and this Playday to grow with AAA, AA, A, and DivII schools in the area North of Nashville which has needed larger exposure than it has. Coach Leseman, have a good Playday and parents and fans, give us reports of the Great playday for the area Schools which is going to be a great event for a widening area of Volleyball Support. PHargis
This certainly is a good area for a Playday such as this, Sumner County. Station camp is having a Tournament a little later in the year. While Montgomery county schools trave to tournaments, it should be a good area to draw AA and DivII schools for a tournament your size. Good Luck.b

PHargis
Congrats to the new coaches at these schools. While we will follow, with a lot of interest, the way this Playday progresses, the fans will now be able to place a coach with the School the rest of the season. To the fans and parents of the players of these schools, Portland over the years has done a fine job with this playday taking the lead in presenting the start of each season to member schools in their District. For those who have not been to the school, its an opportunity for a new entrant into AAA to meet some other schools in their District and County. This likely will be a very competitive Playday. DB, iwould hope either Coach Leseman or your self or who you designate would keep the fans up to date with the scores or any commentary about this event, schools,or players, etc. Thanks for inviting us into your arena. PHargis
We are awaiiting the scores of the Portland Playday and if someone can give us those, the fans are wanting them. thanks Its likely we are going to need posters from schools in this Playday to give scores of their schools. Coach Leseman mentioned it was a good Playday which the TSSAA used to train officials. While no information was available, Hendersonville played well as well as Beech and John Paul II. many of these schools have young players and found out that Macon County's new coach this year is Shane Tipton who also coaches softball at Macon. Coach Leseman mention there likely would be some other Schools to provide information on play. If there is any, please give us more information.
