I think Alcoa will battle Stone for the district title this year. Alcoa has been down for the last couple of years but people shouldn't forget that they battled A-E and Fulton on even terms for years until the last two years. They have also had very good success against Maryville up until the last couple of years as well. They are a powerhouse program.

 

My prediction is that Alcoa will not be down much longer and will ultimately become the dominant team in this district, year-in, year out.

Alcoa will be back up this year. They have an excellent senior PG and at least 3 sophomores that can flat out play. Fill in the rest of the ball players that they have and they will be very good. Stone will be the team to knock off, but Alcoa will be more than capable. Don't count Scott Co out either, they return 3 very good ball players.
