Lebanon @ Rossview Friday night. First ever meeting between these two schools. Lebanon got the season off on the right foot with a season opening district win over Wilson Central with a strong showing from their defense and a solid 2nd half offensively. How is Rossview expected to be this year? I don't know anything about them.

Alright thanks...Sounds like these teams are similar. Lebanon's D is also fairly tough. Their spread looked good in the 2nd half against WC the other night. LHS' offensive line wore them down late in the game, and Blue Devils skill players took advantage.

 

Rossview's season opener, while Lebanon will be playing game 2. Who has the advantage here? Rossview has actual game film to look at on Lebanon but Lebanon should have all the 1st game jitters out of the way. I would say the slight edge goes to LHS, but that is probably negated by the bus ride to Clarksville and the homefield for Rossview.

Rossview has some of the best speed anywhere -- scary speed. Teams quit kicking to their return men halfway through last season. Very tough matchup for Lebanon.

Where does the opponent get the ball if it is kicked off out of bounds? The 35 is what I am thinking but I can't remember for sure. Sure wish we had somebody who could kick it out of the end zone. Remember when lebanon had aj stewart returning kicks? Man that guy was fast.

I don't remember Rossview being scary last year, I know they came into Mount Juliet and got hammered.

Yeah but I don't recall MJ being scary for Lebanon last year but I'm pretty sure they will be this year. Just saying things change from year to year.

Rossview dominates Lebanon tonight 40-20. Rossview scores just before halftime to go up 20-6 and that was pretty much the game. Rossview extended the lead to 33-6 in 2nd half. Lebanon turns it over at least 3 times and Rossview had a number of quick strikes for TD's.

Correct -- three turnovers for LHS, a fumble at the Rossview goal line and two INTs. Rossview broke the opening kickoff 69 yards for a TD. Their TD drives in the second half were 1 play, 3 plays and 1 play. Lebanon out-snapped 'em 65 to 37 or it might have been worse.
