mofototo50
I was trying to figure this thing out. Probably am way off, but this is what I came up with. I would really like some help with the situation. It is not fun not knowing who you are going to play in the playoffs and when you will play them. This system is blowing my mind, but this is what I came up with. I seeded according to Wild Card ranking. This means some Wild Cards are seeded higher than Region Winners. Also 3 of the top 4 teams are in the same Quad (Quad 3). The top 2 teams each get a bye in the first round I believe but I could be wrong with that too. Quad 1: 1. Knoxville Grace 2. Harriman 3. Sunbright 4. Monterey 5. Copper Basin 6. Cloudland Quad 2: 1. South Pittsburgh 2. Lookout Valley 3. Whitwell 4. Gordonsville 5. Huntland 6. MTCS (And MTCS just beat Huntland 28-0) Quad 3: 1. JoByrns 2. Wayne Co. 3. Huntingdon 4. Collinwood 5. Perry Co. 6. Clarksville Academy Quad 4: 1. West Carroll 2. Union City 3. Gleason 4. Lake Co. 5. South Fulton 6. MAHS The system gets the most of the best teams in, aside from a few (Cloudland, MAHS, Clarksville Ac), but if they are seeded according to the Wild Card formula I do not like it. Also with the Quads, I just took the 6 closest teams in the East and moved West. I do not think Huntingdon would move to Quad 3, but geographically they would. Like I said, this is what I got and I need help because I do not get it. Am I right? Someone help!
riverrat
Teams shall qualify for the play-offs as either an automatic qualifier or as a wild card. Automatic qualifiers are placed in the bracket first. The remaining slots shall be filled with wild card qualifiers. Automatic qualifiers shall be determined as follows: a. Teams that finish 1st or 2nd in their district. b. Teams that finish in the top half of the teams from their Subdivision (Class 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A) Ex.: 8 teams in a Subdivision = 4 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 7 teams in a Subdivision = 3 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 6 teams in a Subdivision = 3 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 5 teams in a Subdivision = 2 automatic qualifiers from that Subdivision 4 teams in a Subdivision = 2 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision 3 teams in a Subdivision = at least 1 automatic qualifier from the Subdivision 2 teams in a Subdivision = at least 1 automatic qualifier from the Subdivision 1 team in a Subdivision = 0 automatic qualifiers from the Subdivision E. In the event that there is a tie in district standings, the following tie-breaking procedures shall be applied and all regular season games, both district and non-district, shall count. If at any point when the following tie-breaking procedures are applied, one team has beaten all the other teams that are tied for a play-off position, that team shall be rated above the others. After any position in the district standings has been determined, the tie-breaker procedure shall begin all over again to determine the next position. This procedure shall be repeated to determine all places in the district. 1. The team with the greatest number of victories. 2. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams winning 50 percent or more of their games. 3. The team whose opponents have earned the most victories. 4. The team whose opponents have received fewer defeats. 5. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams in its own class. 6. Ten yard-line overtime procedure at neutral site Monday night at 7:30 P.M. Once the 24 teams have been selected in the Class 1A and 2A playoffs, the teams will be geographically grouped into four six-team quadrants. In Class 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A, the teams will be geographically grouped into four eight-team quadrants. This grouping will be done without regard to region alignments. The teams within each quadrant are placed in the bracket so that teams from the same district will not play each other in the first round. The only exception would be when 5 or more teams from the same district qualify for the play-offs and all 5 teams are in the same geographic quadrant. After teams from the same district have been separated, placements are then arranged with priorities given to automatic qualifiers. Teams finishing 1st in their district will receive highest priority. Teams finishing 2nd in their district will receive second priority. Teams not finishing 1st or 2nd in their district but finishing in the top half of their subdivision will be given third priority, followed by wild card qualifiers. mofototo50
I understand how to do it up until the seeding of teams. Seems too complicated. Can someone else pick up where my brain left off?

Monterey(Upper Half) 5. Copper Basin(Wild Card) 6. Cloudland(Upper Half) Quad 2: 1. South Pittsburgh(1) 2. Lookout Valley(Wild Card) 3. Whitwell(Wild Card) 4. Gordonsville(Wild Card) 5. MAHS 6. Lake Co. I was doing right now. I think all these teams will be in except: Clay Co over Monterey Eagleville over Huntland McEwen over Clarksville Academy Coalfield over Sunbright MTCS would end getting a bye if they beat Eagleville week 10. That would be weird for a 4-6 team.
FridayMainEvent
I understand how to do it up until the seeding of teams. Seems too complicated. Can someone else pick up where my brain left off? You are better off being the 6 than the 5 in that Quad, Mofo. If you win first round as a 5 you would get SP second round. If you won as a 6, you'd get LV.
mofototo50
Yeah I understand that, but how about if they ended up with the 2 seed. They would avoid SP until the quarters and get the Huntland v Whitwell winner in round 2.
riverrat
Quad 4: 1. Union City 2. West Carroll 3. Gleason 4. South Fulton 5. MAHS 6. MOTO24
Quad 4:1. Union City 2. West Carroll 3. Gleason 4. South Fulton 5. MAHS 6. Lake Co. 1.Union City 2.MAHS 3.West Carroll 4.Gleason 5.South Fulton 6.Lake County IF MAHS got in they would be a 2 see in this quad I'm pretty sure Westwood will beat MAHS. It's the toilet bowl but Westwood avoids being flushed. Sux to be 2A . With that being said, what's it look like with MAHS out? Huntingdon moves to Q4, Huntland or MTCS moves to Q3 and Whitwell gets in as a wildcard.

BIGblueLBs36
I'd like to see 2-A quads, if you don't mind, because I have no idea what they might look like. Thanks!
