  1. Looking at it from the other side, it's not really fair for those schools in the high 400's/low 500's range to play against schools who are twice (a couple almost triple) their size and who are pulling kids from Canada and other states. MBA, McCallie, CBHS, MUS all have more boys in their school than some of the schools you lumped in have students. If you want those schools to play up, you have to have the same opinion for the lower division as well. There should be two in that scenario. You can't care for the schools with the really low numbers, but not care about the schools with the middle of the road numbers. And remember, the number was set by two schools who did not want to play up in the AAA division in the first place and had members of the BOC.
  2. MUS enrollment was wrong on site. It should be doubled and wasn't.
  3. This was kind of my point. The team was "created" under the premise that the Catholic schools could play together and be competitive. Ryan created it to filter the kids into the school and that is why JP2 had to establish the North Catholic team. Not to mention last year (no clue about this year) many of the best players on the Catholic Panther team did not go to a Catholic middle school. My earlier statement about how it was funny it is being called the Father Ryan feeder team, although when it was created it was claimed that is exactly what it wasn't suppose to be (although it has become obvious quickly that it is such)... Just my outsiders few of it, with no dog in the catholic race.
  4. Also like how the Diocese Middle School team is considered out loud the Father Ryan feeder program, when it is suppose to be supporting TWO high schools...
  5. Seems to be part of the issue maybe. JP2 has 3 sophomores starting on their offensive line on Friday nights. Those guys aren't playing JV. Age shouldn't really be a consideration when it comes to who plays on Friday and it seems like one school is getting their best out there.
  6. 7v7 isn't sanctioned ( it is just a practice). Transfers are allowed to practice and participate in non-varsity games (Freshman/JV).
  7. Should have quoted Booger too. Reply was to him. Used your's for stat comparison.
  8. Drew Martin threw for 3050 yards, 37 TDs, and completed 71% of his passes...AND his team was 11-2. I don't see the argument there.
  9. Lausanne would struggle against a team that is either: A. As big as they are up front and can hold their own running the ball B. A team that can throw and plays really good defense. To me Lausanne biggest weakness is their secondary. They play a lot of man and cover 3 (essentially man to the boundary/1 WR side). BGA was able to get past their DBs who are pretty good (BGA two outside WR were very good as well). Part of it is how aggressive their DBs like to play. When it comes to their defensive front 7 though, they are as good as I have seen. Love & Thomas at LB are really good. Crawford to me is right behind Trey Smith last year for DL who effects a game (and he plays with a motor that Trey didn't in high school). And adding Corteze Love to the mix at DE only makes them better. Offensively they have weapons, but if you can shut down Gray (like Whitehaven was able to) you have a chance to win the game. Whitehaven didn't have the offense built to beat them though.
  10. It didn't happen in Nashville, it happened in Memphis (BGA practiced there Friday morning, not at Lausanne). I'm not going to get into what happened. I know the exact details and if you're connected to Lausanne then you do too. Both times it happened (yes twice) and who did it is what makes it pretty ridiculous. The thing is, they don't need to do those things with the talent they have, and like I said it had no effect on the game that night.
  11. The stunt is absolutely true and probably worse than you've actually heard as well. I will leave it at that. Had no effect on the football game. Eric Gray dominated BGA and that's that.
  12. I think Lausanne doesn't do itself any favors. The stunt they pulled on BGA was pretty ridiculous.
  13. You guys are getting your DE for this game that transferred over from the co-op school though who hasn't been allowed to play all year, right?

  15. Think the conversation ends with these four backs: Da'joun Hewitt (#1 Davidson) Darius Hylick (#5 MJCA) Xavier Myers (#26 Nashville Christian) Jajuan Foutch (#3 Friendship Christian) Stone Norton (Davidson), Kemari McGowan (MTCS), Cole Lusbu (TKA) are also in the top tier.
  16. Drew Martin (#7 BGA)- 2007 passing yards/200 rushing yards 30 TD (24 pass/6 rush) 5 INT 71% completion percentage Kane Patterson (#4 CPA)- RB/LB Morgan Ernst (#1 Webb)- FB/DE Eric Gray (#1 Lausanne)- RB Jacob Buie (#18 USJ)- QB Those are the 5 best in the division. Nyle Love (Lausanne), Jahlil Jefferson (Webb) & Ryan MIller (USJ) could be in there too. Tried to stick to one player on each team though. Charles Campbell (#3 USJ) is best kicker in the division, IMO.
  17. What does the split look like now that we know which schools are moving? What do we think regions will look like for each class?
  18. Have all year. 4 shutouts. One game allowing 7, one game allowing 8 (real late too). I think the defense will be able to challenge Gordonsville.
  19. If Eagleville doesn't give MC a short field, then I think MC will have a tough time putting points on the board against the Eagles. Eagleville gave MTCS two short fields last week for both scores, and MTCS gave MC 2 short fields in their game to score twice (pointing out how close all three teams are, and that defense is all 3 teams strong suit). Field position/Special Teams will be huge in this one. I think Eagleville defense is too good, they win 10-6.
  20. Moore County's opinion of MTCS is comical. Ask Forrest about RJ Miller. How about asking Eagleville about Asa Bowman? Would have loved another one against MC with a healthy squad. Oh well.
  21. First Round Winners: Greenback Copper Basin Eagleville MTCS Collinwood Nashville Christian Union City Huntington Second Round Winners: Coalfield Copper Basin South Pitt MTCS JoByrns Wayne Co Perry Co Huntington Third Round Winners: Coalfield South Pitt Wayne Co Perry Co Finals: South Pitt-Wayne Co Winner: South Pitt
  22. 2 things: 1. If Union City is in, why didn't you just put them on your calculated list of people in. 2. If Eagleville is in (5-4), then I do not see why MTCS wouldn't be in according to your calculations (5-4). Especially since they have yet to play each other. I do not think either team has clinched, but just wondering why you think Eagleville has.
