Game moved to Thursday night, 7:30.

Ahhhhh.............how sweeeet...........the two Kitties don't want to play in the rain.

One of the only games we played in the dry this year was against.....SH...and they only played a half :?::idea:;)

Guess that's why Giles ran a trick play (flea flicker) with 3 minutes left. :thumb:

Yeah, I totally agree with the sarcasm of this comment. Had to pad the stats. Wonder what they'll do this week. 2 for 8 week before last really doesn't help your stats!!!

Well....................looks like the kitties are gonna get wet anyway, 50% chance of rain

tonight. You would think Giles will win this game but the Tigers have all the advantages.

Wet muddy field

playing in the dark

half time freeze from the locker room

inscripting cornersville players , Nah,just kidding, not a bad idea though.

I think this will be a closer game than most think.

28 - 21 Giles.

Oh boy. Game day at Marshall County. Lets see. Security guys having strategy meeting at local donut shop. L'burgs finest charging up the high speed golf carts. Heating & air guys adding coolant to dressing room Ac's. Cut off switches on scoreboard and lights being checked. Paint being touched up on the paw prints on street leading to stadium. (ever notice they have 2 left feet). Clock operator is being pumped full of caffeine to enable him to start/stop clock instantly upon the requested direction needed by MC. Clunkers are being parked in the lower 40 to ensure one lane in & out of parking area. Busy, busy, busy! Its always exciting to watch Giles & Marshall play but the suspense of the unknown distractions makes it a lasting memory!:lol::lol:

Giles by whatever 450 yards of offense produces!

District Champs!!!!!! that sure feels nice to say.

The Defensive line was awesome once again, The tigers had like -17 yard rushing. 12 looked the best passing that he has all year and about 5 or 6 different recievers had catches. Largest margin of victory I can remember for Giles over Marshall. I fully expect them to return to the strong team they have been over the past years, its has always been a great rivalry.

With that said the cats look to be fully primed for a very nice playoff run...Good luck to all!

    • What has this guy done to you that is so bad? I have spoken to him at one of the games this past year and he was very nice. I am not sure on his ability to coach.
    • I didn't make it up, I was told that by another coach.   I was just passing along what I was told.  Keep your shirt on there tough guy.
    • I see them and Oakdale struggling quite a bit the next few years. I see OS to be the powerhouse of the area for awhile. It all depends on how much Coalfield can recruit.
    • How did the scrimmage with Central go?
    • I’ve said it all year coalfield isn’t the same team as the last couple years. They have 3 really good players and another pitcher that throws low to mid 80s. Other than that, everybody else is average at best. You could make the argument that their lineup was the worst out of the 4 teams in their region tournament. Oakdale is really hot right now and playing well. Greenback was the second best team there. Wartburg was hitting it well but limped into the tournament with their center fielder being hurt and their best pitcher not being able to go on the mound for them was killer.
