playoff question ?

I am still a bit foggy on how the quadrants will be drawn. will there still be a divison of the 8 districts from the east and 8 from the west ?

In 3A, it appears there will be 24 automatic qualifiers and 8 wildcards. The wildcards are not subjective; they will be taken from the TSSAA's wildcard list in order, without respect to where in the state they are located. Once those 32 teams are selected, they will be devided into 4 quads of 8 each based on geography. Here is the wildcard list link. If you understand how the teams receive an automatic bid and are just foggy on how the quads are selected, then skip ahead to about the 17:00 minute mark and start watching from there. Or watch the whole thing if you have time. It's well done and answers all of the basics. Having said that, there is still no certainty on exactly which teams will appear in which quad, and even which wildcard teams are in until after next Friday. A win here and a loss there will be the difference in some of the wildcard bubble teams making or missing the playoffs, and that of course will affect how the quads are drawn.
