Coach Robert Maupin will be sadly missed. Robert passed away at the school, doing what he had loved doing for over 30 years, volunteering for the school. Many of you may not have known Robert, But if you had ever been to see coach Kent Smiths Bears play,Robert was always sitting on the end of the bench supporting his team and coaches. He was a staple at any event happening at the school from Basketball to Football and loved his community. Robert was 65 years old.

 

A memorial service will be held at First Babtist Chruch in downtown Cleveland this Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A link below to a short story and Picture of robert on Channel 9 news. He was a great guy.

      Gravedigger gotta finish filling the hole before hitting 40 East. May need a new Yellow Shirt play signaler on the Stones. And apparently a new strength coach now. Cicadas must've got shaken out of the bushes in Donelson. Hopefully the mower man sticks around to keep DG field looking pristine. Maybe new OC can call in a favor to his PGA friends that knows a thing or two about being green during the season. The heat is on soon. Bring in the 2 way freak Iceman and cool things off. He knows a thing or 2 about wildcats. Gotta take our talents South soon for Nationals. Don't step on my blue suede shoes.
