Trent Williams won the 130lb class and William Jordan took 3rd in 103lb class

I will have to check around to make sure. No one signed the bout sheet and they have Calep Bartee circled as the winner. Weird, I will check into this. Thanks for the heads up.

That was an ugly match with a blow thrown and Williams came home with the trophy.

And you are most welcome

Oh yeah, the bout sheet has more marks on it than my senior paper. I think that the final score was like 18-13. You should have tried seeding that bracket. There were several athletes in it that I thought could have won.

That score is correct and I could definately seeing ya having a hard time seeding for that. Great wrestling in that bracket! Never heard of Rye. though, I had to come home and google it and I'm originally from Virginia!...lol

After all that typing, I would just like to take a second to thank everyone that came to our tournament. It was incredibly difficult this year and I really appreciate your patience. I used to like snow days until we got hit with four good ones the week before our biggest tournament. I am sorry that we got to a late start but I wanted to give those guys driving in every opportunity to weigh in and wrestle. That didn't work out and I will take the blame for that.

We stick by our guns though guys. To show our appreciation and to thank you for your trust. If we get started late again next year, I will hand you your entry fee check back. You pay for quality and we will deliver that.

After we got started, we managed to wrestle to wresle around 600 matches in about 7 hours.

With that, the 31st Greeneville Invitational is in the books. Congratulations to all the medalists and we will see you next year.

TD, you were late for one hour based on the right reason as you waited for a long time for a participating school out of Virginia to arrive and they never gave you the curtosey call. That meant you were only a half hour late after having to reseed and shuffle and print bracketts. GREAT JOB!

Moved fast, excellent officiating, great Hospitality and the tournament was tough as an outstanding Topper Team had only 3 Champions. Great measuring stick.

A shoutout to Coach Price and his staff on a great looking squad and a big win by a BIG margin. Great job and can't wait for his tourney this week. Hixson is very tough up and down the line up and will be very hard to beat at State Small School Tourney, But PF will be a solid challenger to Hixon or anyone else for that matter.

Rest Coach TDartist you earned it!
