Just wondering if anybody knows when the rule on moving screens changed? I dont wont to take too much away from Upperman as they showed alot of energy and heart so they deserved the win over LA! LA was flat and no one stepped up in the 2nd half. But I would like to see moving screens called on Uppermans #30 forward/linebacker. They called two on her late but she continued doing it and no calls! I have watched all three games between these two this year and she has gotten away with it on all three. Bee fans can say Im making excuses, but that is how Roberts gets wide open on threes. Just watch Mon night and see how many open looks she gets from an illegal screen!! Good luck and may the best team win.

You do understand that there is more to a basketball game than what you might see from your seat, right? While I will readily admit that the refereeing in this District is generally......not the greatest......they are usually "not the greatest" against both teams.

 

I have had an upclose and personal look at this for the past two years. And in my previous life (pre-TENNESSEE) I have coached, and I have reffed. It sucks to lose. It sucks even more when you see something that could have changed the outcome. But in this rivalry there will ALWAYS be something, a hold, a charge, a carry, multiple holds and carries, big kid not getting any calls, an endless list of things that could have changed the outcome of a game.

 

Im glad we have a place like coacht to vent our frustrations!!!

If I were coaching Upperman Football (and trust me, Im not campaigning for the job) this would be my first move as HBC (head ball coach)

And trust me, there are some kids on the Upperman girls bench that could start for me on the football field also. Cat Carter @ WR, possibly DE. the Conradi kid would definately fill a need somewhere.

 

HOWEVER, since you mentioned Linebackers. LilGatorBill would be my new starting Middle Linebacker. But unless you have played basketball against her in gym class, or the Jr Pro gyms, or my driveway, you wouldnt really understand. But the kid can really put a hit on ya!!!

I look for #11 vs#11, Sissom vs Roberts, playing tag with each other all game long.

Don't complain about the District officials. They are the same guys that officiated local games all year.

Jimbo, UHS shot 19 foulshots while LA shot 2 for the game. If you don't think officials have anything to do with the game think back to what Blind Bill told you at last years 7A tournament as to the reason JC won their first state tournament. I was sitting by you when he told you. I am pretty sure you are who I think you are. If you dont remember what he said, next time you see me ask and I will tell you. I wont have anything else to say about it.

Get over the officiating. It's been lackluster all year, so what else would you expect? Are you implying the refs wanted and made sure Upperman would win?
