I'll say this about the Southwind/Ridgeway game. This will be the first game where both teams are 100 percent. From my last observation J3 and Walter Davis did a tremendous job on Tarik Black offensively and defensively. I heard the refs were letting the guys play more so I think this game will get very physical and even though Black has a size advantages Davis and J3 both have the balls to go toe to toe with him. The one problem Southwind must avoid is letting Ridgeway get on that run that gives them a comfy lead. The past two games Southwind has played 3 effecienct quarters, controlling the game, but Ridgeway, with its experience and talent, always finds a way to snatch victory from the Jags. I believe Southwind is a little hotter than Ridgeway right now, but who knows!

P.S. White Station vs. Germantown could be a very difficult game to predict. The Red Devils match up perfectly with the Spartans.

Whitestation does not play Germantown, Melrose will play Germantown.... Whitestation plays Overton.

Ridgeway blew out Southwind tonight from all accounts. I don't know exactly what happened, but two things are clear. Ridgeway showed up and Southwind didn't, and Ridgeway is to Southwind, what Ridgeway was to White Station 2 years ago.

Wow.

While I expected RW to win (and would not have been surprised about a SW victory), I absolutely did not expect a blow out!

------------------------------------

Southwind is going to have its hands full with Central. SW absolutely MUST constantly push, push, push......they must force the pace (uptempo) of that game!!!!! Otherwise, Central is going to frustrate and lull SW to sleep, then sneak out of there with a low-scoring "W."

Ridgeway should have fewer problems with East's loosey-goosey, perimeter-oriented team.

Well I believe this was Corieon's 1st time playing against southwind as well this year since the injury... He didn't light up the scorebook but ran a very efficient show, leadership and scored when it was there!

Ridgeway had their way with Southwind all night. They really broke the game open when Black went to the bench close to the end of the 3rd and Ridgeway shot countless uncontested lay ups. J3 was a non factor. To sum the game up....Like the old saying goes you live and die by the three. When your team is hitting you look great but when you're missing, and the opposing team is shooting lay ups on the other end you look terrible...

The coach for Southwind never allowed his team to get in to a rhythm.....it's nice to be able to sub 5 players.....but substituting to much can hurt you as well. Southwind Has a very good team but #22 he came off of the bench tonight and #11 are a very vital part of that team and they play well together.

I so agree with that...It's crunch time now. Go with your best 7 or 8 and play. If J3 is not in foul trouble, he shouldn't see the bench. Especially if Black is on the bench

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
