dman
Our HS boys are done and club soccer is almost over. Now we have to wait two months to start up the 2010 season - can we start pontificating on the upcoming fall season? Who are the teams to watch, what early seaason tournaments are going to set the stage, what players are going to shine in the fall?
hamlet7478
One of the bigger stories of the 2010 boys season is the emergence of the new Hardin Valley Academy as a team to be reckoned with. I think the same thing will happen with the girls team. I'm not saying they'll win the region, or even the district, but I do think they will increasingly press the traditional E. TN Region 2 AAA powers (Bearden, Oak Ridge, Farragut).
TheDieHardFan
Kingston should challenge CAK again for the title in that District. I know they have a new coach though so that could be interesting...
Canesoverhere
The west will continue to re-load. CSA advanced four teams into this year's D1 state tournament, all #1 seeds (92, 93, 94 & 95). They also advanced four teams to the D2 state event as well (93, 94, 95 & 96). The consolidation of clubs has a lot to do with this and will further benefit the players and high school programs. There are additional benefits they are reaping from this which will become evident soon. I think the east saw this several years ago with the consolidation of their teams. Should prove to be a couple of interesting years for the West.
