What an awesome run to the state championship these guys made! To win the last two games on PK's is incredible. They were a pretty thin team (depth-wise) but they showed tremendous heart! CCS was top-ranked all year and heavily favored in this match. They had a great season and are to be commended and congratulated as well. (I think they only lose four seniors.)

At least five of these Bucs came up short in the AA state football championship game (American football) against Trousdale County. I'm sure nothing will really make up for that loss, but this has to be especially sweet for Taylor Shull, Ben Beasley, Joey Glisson, Jake Lockert and Clint Babb (did I forget anyone?) who were all key cogs in December.

Congratulations to the entire team and to coaches Owens, Walker and Campbell!

Believe that might be it. The news had baseball highlights and not soccer. Anyone know where I can watch them at?

It's hard when you control much of the entire game and then lose in a penalty shoot out. That's the drama of soccer for you.

Wasn't meant to be.

Congrats to Boyd on a hard fought game and the victory.

Congrats to our seniors and good luck in the future.

To the returners: Take the time off you need to recover. Then get ready to get back out there.

This is a great win for the soccer program at Boyd. Coach Walker and Coach Owens both have done a great job getting the team to where they are today. I wish I could of been up there watching, but I at least got to listen to the shootout on the phone. Congrats to Jake Lockert on receiving MVP. His first time even playing soccer was his sophomore year, and he came up huge in both shootouts for the Bucs. During the post season Boyd gave up 0 goals. Not only is this a great moment for the players, but a great moment for Coach Walker as well. 2 years ago he missed out on the trip to the state tournament. Coach Walker was serving our country in Iraq. I am very happy for him to be able to make a run to the state tournament this year and come out #1. These seniors will be missed. They have set the bar high for the underclassmen. It is now time for them to step in and put in the time that these seniors have to keep Boyd Buchanan Soccer at a high level.

Go Bucs! :thumb:

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
