I will too. I want no part of 2A girls basketball in West Tenn or the whole state for that matter. 1A is hard enough.

Dont sell single A girls bball short in West Tn.,a Gibson Co. doesn't come along often,and I'd bet if You'll reserch a little,the 1a teams did ok against the bigger schools the last few years .

I'm not selling 1A short. I'm very aware at how hard West Tenn 1A basketball. Regions 7A and 8A have a tough time getting past each other. Peabody (in 2003 I believe) was the last team in single A from West Tenn to go State two years in a row. There are teams that get put out very early that could give teams that make sub state from Regions 1A, 2A, and 3A a lot of trouble.

 

IMHO 2A is consistantly tougher from year to year, top to bottom. Not just the top tier teams like Gibson Co., Westview, but the teams like Haywood, Bolivar, and Liberty who would go to sub state and probably beyond if you put em in different regions. Prime example, Bolivar made it to State in 2009 when they were in Region 6. With with essentially the same team in 2010 in Region 7, they get beat in the region semis. Heck even Memfis 2A has gotten better, 1A not so much.
