Bigsey is right in that they have built a strong program but i don't why everyone should be gunning for them, now that Scott finally graduated and isn't able to pitch evry other day. I think every team in the district should be gunning for each other instead of just LaVergne.

sorry for all those who think matt scott was god, sure he was a good pitcher but when was the last time matt threw a no-hitter perfect game? matt did his job as a pitcher but he had a good team behind him. his team played defense, and played offense, that's why lavergne is walking around with rings on their fingers because they played as a team and never quit! so ur right teams shouldn't be gunning for lavergne because they already know lavergne is going to whip that tail for them. ;)

In my opinion Mt. Juliet should have a good team this year although they did lose alot of seniors. I think they have good shot at state with returning players such as Stephen Shao (of p) Brandon Seger, Paul Davis, and Matt Smith.

Coach Reavis has done a wonderful job down there in LaVergne. He knows what he's doing and I expect him to do well again this year. LaVergne only lost 3 players last year so I expect them to be in contention again this year. Fields, Bobo, Jackson, Biggs, Sabala, Holman, and Cozart need to step up this year.

Does the fact that Hendersonville has three people that have signed early to play D-1 change anyone's oppion of how they will be this year. Two of them I had never heard of. It seems like we all felt they would be a middle of the pack team. I still feel like as long as Mt. Juliet has Shao, they will win at least two days a week when he throws.

It says on here and on hsbaseballweb.com that Wilson Tucker signed with Belmont, Ben Meador with UT-Martin and Kevin Cizmarik signed with Tennessee Tech. Cizmarik came in for relief for them last year against us. He is a tall left, Tucker is an outfielder, and Meador I have no idea who that is.

#1 according to HHS insiders, Bostic doesn't care much about baseball - didn't even pick one up until after basketball was over and was never effective. his attitude is apparently a problem as well. Tucker can play, the other two were seen over the summer and have done nothing at HHS so far. So far is the key. Cismarik is 6'6" and a project. Lavergne and Mt. Juliet are the two teams most prepared going into 2003. Whether or not they win it all, we'll see.

Sometimes it is best to let sleeping dogs lie....I have said I will say about Hendersonville. They could be good maybe not. Bostic has beaten us every time we have ever faced him except for one time this summer we beat him 1-0 in 9 innings and they should have won that game. He looked like he cared this summer. Maybe he was just getting into shape from laying off. That time this summer was the only time in two years we have beaten him. VOL24...Do you think your "insiders" might be blowing smoke. They are always an unpredictable team, but they looked good this summer. I do agree that Mt. Juliet and LaVergne have to be favorites going in because of everything they have coming back. Whoever survives our district will have a shot to go pretty deep in the region and beyond. Good luck to everyone! :)

    • lol, not me. I did ask about that because I was watching the siegel vs Farragut game. It was backwards there as well. I believe for the camera to get it right it has to be put in by the NFHS team correctly or it will be backwards.

    • Mancoverage, the analogy to the esteemed John Ward is a commendable gesture, underscored by its profound implications. It is indeed an honor to be likened to such a luminary figure. Moreover, the assertion that the prospective head coach resides within the confines of the aforementioned list resonates with perspicacity and foresight. • Color me shocked that Keith is playing the victim in all of this. You would think a 27 year old “military man” would own up to his mistakes. All those singing his praises on multiple media outlets and social media might need to do some due diligence and talk to those that have had some real bad interactions with DK.    at the end of the day what stinks is that some innocent people are going to be caught up in the mess that the Head principal, Keith and a few rogue teachers created. The head principal was warned multiple times about Keith and chose to hitch his wagon to him and the monster that was created couldn’t be controlled. But as we have now seen, Jenkins was doing his own stuff below board to make himself look better. And what stinks even worse is there might be more people that lose their job that were the ones doing everything in their power to warn Jenkins.
