When is this game scheduled so I can mark it on my calendar? I would love to come to Unaka and see this game. It will be a great high school atmosphere. Temple is in for a real treat. I honestly think Temple should win, but that Unaka crowd and Unaka's D could make it interesting. I have always loved the games at Unaka. It has been about 10 years since I have had the pleasure.

This will be one of the biggest match ups in 1A basketball this year campbelle. they both have the intensity to turn a 10 point ball game into a 1 point ball game just because of there tanacious defense.both these teams every night plays there hearts out and leaves everything on the floor thats why they will both be back at the (BURRO) this year.

By the way i think the game is in january not sure tho

Temple and Unaka have played each other for a number of years now and everyone involved knows what great games we have had and that this one will be no exception. We, (Temple) have had to play up there before and it is really tough!!! We know we are in for a fight, but that is what makes high school basketball great. Unaka is well coached and come after you. We are looking forward to it and will give it our best shot and we know so will Unaka. See you soon.

great post!! we know that playing great teams is what makes high school basketball so exciting. we look forward to having you come up because we know that you will come with it, and that you're not the defending state champs by accident. the atmosphere will be awsome that night,- it will definitely be a huge game and i know that both teams are looking forward to it. good luck this season.

      I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first?       The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..

      I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.

      I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
