Lafayette(KY) was runner-up to Karns in the Rocky Top

tournament last weekend.

 

Who won the Sonic Blast tournament last weekend at Franklin?

Ravenwood beat Indy in the finals 2-0. It was a very good match. Ravenwood beat page to get to the finals and Indy beat Sullivan South 2-0.

Lafayette(KY) beat DCA in the Semi-Finals and Siegel in the Quarter Finals.

Awaiting word on who they will play in the Finals.

Lexington(KY) Lafayette avenged an earlier defeat in the tournament and defeated

Collierville to win the "Back to the Boro" tournament. After losing to Karns last

weekend in the Rocky Top tournament final the Generals were able to get the job

done tonight.

The Back to the Boro Tournament is over and really a good Tournament. It was done in conjunction with the stated goal of also a sponsership of a goal against MS. It was a success also and Siegel appreciates all teams to participated in the event. As you can see teams from Tennessee and Kentucky participated. Now to the results. Lets get quickly to the results and then we'll see how we got there. Lafayette did win the Tournament over Collierville in a very close match but had to some from behind in the tournament seedings to do it. After being beaten by Collierville and Harpeth Hall in Pool Play, they had a remarkable performance in the come back. That was the results and here's the details.

Pool play started Friday and went thru to 2:00 Saturday with Riverdale going undefeated in the Lower bracket and Siegel going undefeated in the Upper bracket of the tournament. Pool play scores are above but some are misssing.

Tournament play was accuanted by a second round win by lafayette over Siegel by 25-18 and 25-20. Collierville beat Riverdale in a close match coming from behind 20-24 and winning 26-24 to get to the finals. Collierville, who had beaten Lafayette in pool play lost to Lafayette in tournament play 25-23, 25-23.

The Back to the Boro added some Schools to the State tournament mix this year. Dickson, Riverdale, were added. Collierville was already known and Siegel lost only to Lafayette an out of State School which stopped their long winning streak.

One of the most prominent areas which was obvious in the Tournament was the series of new coaches seen at the Tournament. Jaye Goodman, Jennifer Wilson and Sara Miles made this visit to this Tournament their first and represented their teams well. I am having a some difficult time in posting results to revious posted schedules and I will do it as soon as I have time.
