Forrest @ Dresden

The visitors side is wheelchair accesible. When we played there, one of our fans rode on his scooter to the stands. If you ask some people at stadium if you can park near endzone due to handicap, they'll let you drive down to endzone...at least they did for my friend. but, the concession is a long, long way from the visitors side. And it truly is called the Hogpen for a reason.

Now, yall had better get ready to play, because Dresden has a pretty good team. They play physical, and they have a very good QB.

Thank you, that's good to hear. I don't visit the concession stand, if we need anything one of the "able bodied' people get it for us. (I usually don't want anything anyway).

The Rockets will be ready!

Wheelchair can park down at the field house and there is a walkway to watch or park right next to your stands and watch. Just call ahead and the AD Coach Chuck West will make sure you get a good spot. Welcome to the Hog Hole. We look forward to the game. Bring a big crowd, its been a while since we hosted a playoff game and would love for these kids to see a huge crowd and playoff atmosphere. A mile past the school on 22 is a grocery store, dollar, Freds, Pharmacy, McDonalds, Subway, etc for any needs. Coach T has a good driving map. Not hard to find. If you need anything call 731-363-3439 fieldhouse during school hours. There is a good little mexican food joint there in town.

*sigh* Unfortunatey we are used to it. Being one of two small high schools in a county where the "big" high school is king, it's normal for us. Cornersville is more left out than we are. I don't know how many people will go such a long way for a football game. I just know my nephew will be well represented, even though he doesn't play much any more. The one who is in his spot on defense isn't doing a bit better. Oh my, did I say that?

I like the brackets. And not getting our associations refs means REAL REFS! Forrest is huge! Gonna be a good game. We expect our McKenzie folks to skip the mt. pleasant/ White house heritage game and come support the black and gold. lol. I want a district team in the championship game representing the best of the west. GO LIONS!

    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
    • My outsider looking in perspective is Oliver Springs, Coalfield, Rockwood, and Harriman: fill out the top 4 good teams that beat up on the bottom and will all be in a good place to win in the 1st round with one team maybe making it farther. Midway: funnily enough in the middle an alright team that can beat the teams below them but not the top 4 misses the playoffs but still has a decent record. Oakdale, Greenback, Sunbright: round out the bottom each team has its problems and with a rough region and challenging non-conference records may not be pretty. Oakdale graduated lots of talent and experience, Greenback is in all sorts of internal turmoil with their new coach, and Sunbright small roster tough region not tons of Fb played. (Teams could be rearranged with other teams in their groups but this is how I see them finishing)
    • Kids quitting to focus on one sport could be a worry but multi-sport athletes transferring out would damage more than just football so I think the people who made this decision could find out they are going to get burned in multiple ways.
