redryder847
With the 2010 season in the record books, is this the beginning of a run, or a fluke, for the fourth largest city in Tennessee claiming 2 of the 4 State Soccer Championships ? kgettings
Definitely some great teams in Chattanooga but it certainly doesn't hurt their chances to be able to play so close to home. I'd love to see the State Tournament alternate between two or three cities in the state to give some relief to those teams that have to travel. Just my 2 cents. nizolek
With the 2010 season in the record books, is this the beginning of a run, or a fluke, for the fourth largest city in Tennessee claiming 2 of the 4 State Soccer Championships ? I guess that as long as Baylor and ND are in Chattanooga, there's at least a decent chance for 2 champions.
ChattanoogaCannon
I guess that as long as Baylor and ND are in Chattanooga, there's at least a decent chance for 2 champions. Are Soddy-Daisy and Ooltewah the only AAA teams in Chattanooga area with decent soccer programs?
DonCChatt
Had SD also at least made it to the final, then you might have something. I think, though, that as long as you are winning 1-0, dominance probably isn't the word I would use. In addition to skill and hard work, etc, when you have two evenly matched teams, luck (good or bad) also plays a huge roll. I missed the ND-CPA game (was out-of-town), but from what I've heard, that was the toughest game ND played in the tournament, and given CPA's shot count advantage, etc, they could have easily won. DonCChatt
Are Soddy-Daisy and Ooltewah the only AAA teams in Chattanooga area with decent soccer programs? Ooltewah seems to have slipped (perhaps due to impact of East Hamilton opening up nearby), so you might have to replace them with Cleveland as another AAA team with a decent soccer program. BigG
Ebb and flow, my friends. For a while, Knoxville had its "stamp" on the titles, and things are shifting and flowing across the state. I think it is good that the championships are changing (well, I would have rather CAK had won,but you get my point) for the entire talent level of soccer across the state. WTGHSSR
Way to much change from year to year in HS. Remember, last year 3 of 4 State Champions were from the Memphis area. This year only 1 of 4. Next year...who knows?
