I hate to rain on your parade, but Blackman found out that their QB could do more than just hand off to Mathers. He can pass too and is getting better each game so your d ( which is impressive) will have to stop both.

Good luck to both teams.

are you saying that yr qb will be better than any qb we have faced all year ?

No. I am saying that the young QB you faced earlier in the year has been battle tested and is better than when You faced him. Making the Blaze a much better balanced team than they were when you played them earlier.

Oh FYI, not my QB. Just giving my opinion on the game. We have faced Rutherford county schools over the last 30 yrs and I've always tried to keep up with them.

My youngest came home today and asked if I'd take him and his friend to Smyrna. Looks like we will be there. I am looking forward to seeing this game.

Good luck to both teams.

Get there early, be sure to let the kids go to the bathroom before you arrive. Allow time to stop and eat.

Be prepared to stand. Oh yea - the place is a dump.

Dear glass 1/4 to 1/2 full,

Upset really?

So you think Smyrna is the better team in enough of the key areas.

So you think Blackman has not improved very much as a team.

Go back to the last meeting. Blackman had just come off playing two very soft teams in Lincoln County and Ttown. Blackman ran a good first offensive set that lead to six ponts. After that may I asked what happenend? Blackman got battle tested and fail the test. But now turn the page to what has happened since week two. Blackman has improved greatly. The Oline has gotten MUCH better. QB has grown into a man. DB's have improved - just reference the throwing attacks they have faced down the streach. Blackman was working with a very limited playbook then. Today's play book has been expanded and refined to meet the talent placed on the field.

Blackman win an upset? Really?

Love,

Mr Donkey 1st in line for another 1/2 full glass of Shadorade.

In my eyes, it would not be an upset but in Smyrna's eyes and most other people that aren't Blackman fans eyes, Smyrna is the favorite. So that's why I put it that way.

Did I say Blackman hasn't improved? NO. I agree with you on all the areas you mentioned. But just because Blackman has improved a lot doesn't mean that we will win. I'm sure Smyrna has improved also. We are playing a really good team. I actually think we got a good chance. I think it will be a nailbiter. One team has to win, the other has to lose.

Mr. Donkey, Remember, we do root for the same team.

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
