I would appreciate any pointers you may have on doing this. Any advice on drills and what layers would be beneficial for this age group. There are many principles you can teach the youngsters from it, but I wouldn't worry about too much of it. The later layers talking about playing against a zone is what I would concentrate on, because for some terrible reason that is what every AAU team wants to run. Now, on a side note, the kids you teach the read and react to will only get what you emphasize and make a priority. If you try to give them too much it will be one big mess.
