District 7a

Have you seen the rest of their schedule? Outside of their district, JC has not really played any slack teams. They have played and beaten Livingston. Lost a 2 run game to McMinn Central, (may be wrong on number of runs, but i know that game went 7 innings.) They still have to play Smith Co. The point is just because they are in a weak district, doesn't mean they won't compete against 8A. If JC was in 8A they would shake things up there and could compete for the championship there as well. Don't ever count a small team like JC out, they have a lot of heart, and a lot of times the heart of a team can beat talent of another.

You have misunderstood what I said, I never said JC would not compete with 8a. If JC was in 8a they would have a great shot at second and more than likely end up at 2nd. What I am saying, however, is that playing in a weak district does them absolutely no good and doesn't help them get ready for the tournament. As I said in a previous post that playing teams like Smith County, Livingston, etc, but it doesn't help as much as it hurts to play in a weak district. When playing games outside the district, teams tend to throw off their 3rd, 4th, somtimes 5th pitcher and save their best for their district games. It's different than all other sports because It's in the district games and tournament where you see the most #1 and #2 pitchers, and teams play their best games. When you don't see that until you get to the region it hurts a team.

I agree, but JC doesnt throw their #1 or #2 against non-district teams, other than maybe one inning. Plus, you may not know this, but JC hits mid 80s pitching sometimes better than they do the 70- pitching. That is what makes them a somewhat special team.

How did Jackson County vs Trousdale comeout last night?

It says Trousdale County beat Jackson County 13-0...I'm curious as to what happened in this game as well!
