Imagine that. Someone from Moore Co. asking if some other gym is big enough to accommodate a game? That's funny. The Loretto Gym will prolly hold more than your gym.

Thank You Capt. Obvious!!! I know our gym isn't big enough. Thats why we hold our SubState games at Motlow. Had heard that it was a small gym and was making sure it wasn't going to be held elswhere.

Does anyone know what time they are going to open the doors tomorrow night?

We called MCHS.

The AD from Loretto told MCHS the gate would not open until 6 pm

Why aren't you holding it at Motlow this year? (Oops! Did I say that out loud?)(cough), anyway, you heard right, THE BARN is very small, but big enought to host a Sub-State game yet small enough to make MC or any opposing team wish they'd never shown up! It's a lot like Goldilock's porridge, it's "just right"!! Wishing you safe travels to and from and a good ol' fashioned small town Loretto hospitality while you're here!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LADY MUSTANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:

I pick MC by 10 in a close game. Moore County's experience in big road games will pay off in this one, from their postseason run last year to the Midsouth Classic and tough AAA road tests this year. That should help them to stay collected and play their game--they've been in this situation and know they can come out victorious.

If MCHS play as a team today.. They will come out with a victory very easy tonight..If not they will struggle.. MC's point guard that they lost against Forrest is expected to play tonight.. Moore County wins by 12..MC will bring all there fans and it will pack there gym just like every Away game that they play..Go MC

Just wondering if they brought it or not?

Just wondering if they brought it or not?

Moore County Raiderettes brought it in the first half and left it in the dressing room at half-time. Too many mental errors tonight. Not blocking out on free throws, travelling violations, you can't play not to lose which is what it looked like from the stands they were doing. No one wanted to take over in the third quarter, which was the difference in the game in my opinion. Loretto never gave up, though, you have to give Greg and the girls credit. They fought all night long. Not the way we wanted to see the season end, nevertheless girls Moore County is still proud of you!!

Congrats do go out to Junior Rachel Garland as well as senior Heather Vann for eclipsing the 1500 point plateau for their careers.

Well spoken! I think both teams are defintely state championship material! Wish they both could be in the Boro. MC has a great team & coach & fans & should be very proud of a great season!

    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
    • No my fight, but ... if they were already college-caliber prior to transferring to BHS, and they already had FBS interest, and they end up at an FBS school, how did Bearden do anything for them?
