What is Middltons strogness? Are they big , fast and athletic? I don't know anything about them and little about Cloudland but yall say say they're scrappy and relentless.

that's the best two adjectives for Cloudland...their PG is 6'3, can get down the floor, drive the lane, and he's got hops!

Other guards are quick, long and can get hot from 3 line....watch out for #15, sophomore, and can flat out shoot! #4 comes of the bench with the body to wear ya down on the post and can shoot the trey.

If they play as they're capable, it'll be a fun game to watch

no one in any division in this tourmanment will equal the talent of HUNTER HUSS out of nc most small colleges don't have that much talent, so I don't think we will be too scared of any of you! If you can beat us congrats but it won't be easy you will have to earn it.

Easy now olddawg, u are from east tennessee therefore you see a little talent out of North Carolina and you sound like you saw the globe-trotters. What you didnt know is that youre just used to watching poor talent, not your fault but just a product of your surroundings ie.(a mountain). Memphis Southwind beat Hunter Huss in the same tourney and southwind is probably 5th best in the city behind White Station, Melrose, Craigmont, Central even Ridgeway.

Yep S.W. is loaded....should have beaten most teams there by 50, but didn't....Hunter Huss was as talented but both teams played sloppy....was really a sorry game to have to pay to watch!

Once again, these ole mountain folk wont see anything out of the West that we havent seen, played and/or beat already this year.

By the way, the best team at the Arbys this year was Mentor, OH....IMO

I agree with you. Memphis needs a private school to pull a clarksville academy lol. Heck theyve got 55-60 schools in/around memphis to pull from. It would be sooo gross.

you are hating on Hampton by comparing Hunter Huss against the best AAA teams in Memphis? kinda seems like you are arguing for Hampton lol.

Hampton beat Alaska's defending AAAA state champs Wasilla by 14 in the Arby's. They returned their 2 leading scorers from last year and both of them stood 6'9". Now Wasilla is back in the AAAA (the largest division in Alaska) state tournament.

I would usually agree with people about East TN but Hampton has played a strong schedule this year and played at least 2 teams (and maybe 3) who are much better than anybody they will play in the Boro.

I have seen Summertown. They are not nearly talented as Hampton. Could they win? Of course they could. But they are not the better team.

I'm sure there is more talent in memphis than here probably 3 or 4 times the amount of people so do the math, all i'm saying is these Bulldogs and Landers will not be afraid of anyone in the boro and hope you all overlook us cause you'll be watching the finals from the blechers if ya do. and I'll take my mountain anyday over the hood of memphis!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
