District 12A Tournament

S'town finished the season 1st with a perfect record can they win the tournament now? Will someone else sneak in and take it from them? Wayne County finished 2nd with 2 district losses (both to S'town). Perry County finished 3rd, Loretto 4th, Collinwood 5th, and Clifton 6th.

 

S'town is clearly the favorite here but they have lost 2 games in a row (both higher classes). They have the best "team" (playing together) and will be very hard to beat twice for anyone. Wayne County got hot a few games ago but have cooled down some. WC may have some of the best talent but can they get it together here to pull the upset? PC has put some games together and may be figuring out their talent. They pulled the upset last year over the lower teams and finished second and went on to the substate. Loretto has the talent to pull off a few games here as well. Don't be shocked to see Loretto finish out 1st or 2nd here. Collinwood has young talent and will be a contender next year for the top spot but could win some games here as well.

 

Everybody has been laying low on this district so far lets hear some other thoughts.

CW pulled the first upset of the bracket beating Loretto. Loretto coach was mad as a wet hen didnt see what happened but seen him crawling all over ump after the game. PC won 22 to 0 in 2 innings.

 

I thought for sure that Loretto would make some noise in this tournament but not this kinda noise. I expected them to beat C'wood and play a good game against S'town (not beat them). I wonder what will happen today now.

Was Loretto disqualified? I thought you had to go 5 innings in tournament play?
