AC vs West (Scrimmage)

Glad to see AC playing a good team like West. They killed AC last year in the playoffs.... Should be able to tell alot with this scrimmage.

I agree, West looks like a buzz saw. Coming off the Fulton Scrimmage, we've got some things to work on. This is a young team, tues night will be interesting.

AC West scrimmage. Played game situation except for kick offs and punts we're not live. West 20 AC 14. We had a chance to tie or win by 1 with 26 seconds to go. Came up short on 4th and goal from the 9 yard line. Still got some work to do and some things to shore up, but looked better over all from the Fulton scrimmage last week. Even though we came up on the short end of the stick.

Agree 22. Moved the ball better than I thought we would against a West team with so many players back. AC's defense was pretty stout. We had some silly penalties on one drive or it might have been even.

Not that I really care about the score but in all fairness to West...the scoreboard guy had some obvious Maverick goggles on. On scoreboard he counted a JV TD for AC but when West scored with JV guys he didn't add it. Again, not a big deal. It was very obvious the West coaches didn't care about either. There starting RB didn't play after the 1st series. A lot of 2nd guys played very early on offense and defense. Starting OLine appeared to play a lot but not skill guys. I know on defense the DB's, LBers all changed beginning the 2nd series. West freshman scored at will.

AC did appear to have some things going though.

Sorry about that Amos, I dont remember the West JVs scoring. Not saying they didnt, just dont recall it. The only reason I counted our JV score is because I seen a ton of West 1st teamers mixed in as well. Glad to hear your starters set down after the 1st 2 series because thats when our defence looked the strongest. West frosh. are loaded, no doubt. Our frosh offence is not clicking and in the frosh. defence. We are trying to platoon the defensive side of the ball. We are not good enough to do that. That was not our best 11 frosh on defence. Nice work for both teams though. Hey, much better than that embaresment we put out there in the Play-offs last year.
