District 13 is awesome. The bottom two teams according to 96.5 radio were dresden and Gleason. pretty stinking good teams on the bottom. Completely impressed by gleason in week one. Never thought I would say it, but, GOOD JOB Coach Lampkins! Great win. Keep it rolling. Congrats on your baby too!

48-0 Gleason.

Greenfield came out shell shocked, they might have a lot of growing pains this year. Our guys game out fired up and focused. Ran very well, threw decent. Had a couple good pass plays. A lot of different options at running back. And hey! we only missed one extra point kick tonight! LOL

I was impressed with all of our running backs, verdell ran the ball a little bit and threw a few pretty passes, and our defense played great tonight. I don't think greenfield got their first 1st down in the last minute of the third quarter.

Also, Ezell did a great job fielding punts and had some great gains to.

Good luck to greenfield the rest of the way!

Great job Noah and Dawgs!! :thumb:

yeah they did a really good job 5 out of 7 of the touchdowns were by freshman and sophmores. Verdell looked good at QB. Ezell runs hard lookin foward to seeing him get more carries. keep it up gleason

My girlfriend gets a regular cheeseburger but i get the double whimpy cheeseburger. I am on the wall of fame for it. Order me two and have them delivered to rebel stadium.

Let me know if you can make that happen at a home game, I can get enough orders to make it worth their while to deliver!!!! Congrats to the 'Dawgs. My not so twin grandsons play for the 'Dawgs and are sophmores. Sure wish we didn't have to play 'em. It's tough on me!!!!!!!! :thumb:

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
